Sweet Marjoram has a sweet herbaceous aroma. It is a relaxing, warming and comforting oil particularly good for overthinking and worry. It is also great for muscular aches and pains, lethargy and digestive problems.
Lime is refreshing and uplifting for a tired mind with it's citrus, bitter-sweet aroma. A stimulating and activating oil good for digestive problems, fatigue and especially good in skin creams for oily skin.
This tangy oil has a clearing effect which makes it particularly useful when recovering from general winter illness. It is very effective used in an oil burner or electric diffuser as it is antibacterial but also a good oil to refresh, uplift and clarify.
Lavender is the most widely used essential oil in aromatherapy, particularly for its relaxing and antiseptic properties. It is a calming and stabilising oil and is good for many ailments such as headaches, muscular aches and pains, skin conditions, PMT and irritability.
Grapefruit has a wonderful uplifting aroma, like many of the citrus oils, and is also cleansing, clarifying and refreshing. We have selected this excellent oil for its clean, fresh odour. Grapefruit oil is also great for promoting a 'lightness of spirit' in times of tension and worry.
Frankincense has a resinous, woody aroma and is considered by many diverse cultures as the most spiritual and prized of all essential oils. Its classic use is for prayer or meditation as well as in skincare preparations and was frequently used in the embalming process by the Egyptians. It has a wonderful ability to still the mind.
Eucalyptus Globulus is a wonderfully clearing, camphoraceous essentail oil. It is excellent for colds and chills. Australian Aborigines refer to the plant as 'Kino' and bind the leaves to serious wounds.
Elemi's aroma is woody and smoky, like Frankincense, but the oil contains a higher concentration of terpenes, which give it a lighter, more lemony note. Ancient Egyptians also used Elemi in the embalming process.
